RETIRED NOT TIRED
An industry recognized program offered to local, outdoor club members (including Senior Centers), who wish to return to the sport of skiing but need support. Instructors can relate not only to the challenges, but also to the desire to stay fit and active. The Retired Not Tired program strives to provide an opportunity for the retired community to actively enjoy winter in the company of their peers. Our goal is for students to learn in a safe, self-paced environment while gaining exposure to equipment that will enhance the learning experience.
Please Note: Participants are asked to wear CDC-approved masks or face coverings and maintain six feet of social distancing from people outside of their household. Because we have limited capacity inside our buildings, please come prepared to ski. We will not have the inside space at Tickets and Rental or the Crystal Clipper like we’re used to, so your car will become your new locker room and your base camp. Pre-ski and post-ski meetings will now take place in the open-air tent between the Mountain Adventure Zone and the Crystal Center.
Please check-in for your program by 9am at the Mountain Adventure Zone. If you need to pick up reserved rental equipment, you will visit the Tickets and Rental window at the lower level of the Crystal Center.
Intended for both beginners and people who have not skied in many years, the Teaching Program starts at the beginner level and progresses through needed skills required to truly enjoy skiing. Our curriculum is tailored to each participant's goals and ability levels.
Each lesson will include pre-ski lectures, two-hours of on-snow instruction and a post-ski debriefing. Lessons will begin in January and run through the end of February. Upon completing three lessons, first year participants can apply the cost of the lessons toward the purchase of a Season Pass.
Must sign up at least 48-hours in advance to reserve rental equipment and to ensure the appropriate amount of instructors are available. Please call Jessicca Kelly at 231-378-3109.
The Club Program is a great way for retirees to gather, find friends, and stay active. The Club also provides members with an opportunity to improve their skiing ability through regularly scheduled clinics with our certified instructors.
